Run for Peace
A community fundraising event for the Asia Pacific Peace Museum
June 8 marks the first anniversary of the opening of the WongAvery Asia Pacific Peace Museum (APPM). In the past year, visitors from different walks of life, of various backgrounds and ages were amazed by the existence of the world’s first museum of its kind in Toronto, and were inspired by the peace messages brought forth throughout the museum.
The Asia-Pacific Peace Museum stands as a beacon of hope in promoting peace, justice, and compassion for all those who suffered the devastating impacts of WWII in Asia and those who persevered.
Run for Peace invites community members to commemorate the birth of the APPM that dedicates solely to education and peace. By participating and supporting the event, you become part of our peace movement that aim to enhance and inspire youth participation and learning in racial reconciliation and global peacebuilding.
You are sincerely invited to join us as a participant, support our participants or sponsor the event. For more information about the APPM, please visit www.asiapacificpeacemuseum.com.
"Visiting the museum was a profoundly powerful, heartbreaking, life-altering experience. It is unimaginable to think that so many are unaware of these histories as vital and foundation as they are to the modern day world order. Justice now. Peace now. Never again."
For Education; For Peace; For a Better World.
