Anthony Brown

Anthony F. Brown, LL.B., LL.M, M.Ed. is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and has practiced law for over 40 years, including 30 years as in-house counsel for Ontario school boards and the Ontario Ministry of Education. He is now in private practice in the areas of education, labour, employment, and human rights law, primarily assisting school boards and non-profit organizations. He holds an Ontario Business Supervisory Officer’s Certificate and is a co-author of Education Law, 5th Ed. (2019, Carswell), as well as Consulting Editor of Carswell’s annual Consolidated Ontario Education Statutes and Regulations. He is also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.  

Anthony first became aware of the valuable work of ALPHA Education when he was on the Executive Team at the Toronto District School Board (2002-2015). He has been proud to attend events organized by ALPHA Education over the years. He has also participated on the Building Committee for the Asia Pacific Museum, along with providing advice on various policy updates and legal matters.
