WE CELEBRATE
You'd never hate a person whose story you know, and always remember, great people are not described by their money or success, but rather by their heart and what they do for others.

Year 2015 marked the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII. ALPHA education organized a week-long Festival to celebrate the historical day. The one-week programs include a commemorative concert, art contest and exhibition, film screenings, workshops and concluded with “Peace FEST” held at Mel Lastman Square. Peace FEST started with day activities and ended with an evening concert and peace boat ceremony.
Passing of Motion 66
October 27, 2017
It was a historic day in Ontario's Provincial Parliament, as MPP Soo Wong's Motion 66 passed unanimously, designating December 13th of each year the Nanjing Massacre Commemorative Day on the provincial calendar. This is huge step to memorialize a dormant but significant part of human history and bring justice to the survivors of World War II in Asia. The day ended with a beautiful candle light vigil held outside Queen's Park. We are truly humbled and thank MPP Wong and her staff, as well as the volunteers who devoted themselves to the campaign for this motion - holding petition drives, writing to their MPPs, spreading the word through media - for their tireless efforts working toward this important goal.
